Protect your Fertilizer Investment with Hydra-Hume

Posted on: Mar 28, 2017

We spend a lot of time and money coming up with the most economical, yet highest yielding fertility programs available.  We identify the Right place, Right time and Right Rate, but what about the Right soil?  Are we farming in the richest soil with the perfect balance of nutrition and pH? Most likely, the answer is no.  Each year we farm, we take something from the soil. By enriching our soils with humic substances, we can help replenish what was lost and find that ideal balance again.

Plants grown in soils containing adequate humic substances are healthier and less subject to stress, and they produce higher yields; the nutritional quality of harvested foods and feeds are superior. The value of humic substances in soil fertility and plant nutrition relates to the many functions these complex organic compounds perform:

  • The uptake of major plant nutrients is mediated by Hydra-Hume®: One simulative effect of humic substances on plant growth is enhanced uptake of major plant nutrients: nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and potassium (K). As the level of humic substances in soils become depleted, the misleading demand for higher concentrations of NPK results. You could increase your fertilizer efficiency and retain the fertilizer ingredients within the plants rooting zone with the application of either dry or liquid Hydra-Hume.
  • Humic substances provide a reduction in the toxicity and leaching of nitrogen compounds into subsoil water: Humic substances also maximize fertilizer efficiency by holding major plant nutrients in a molecular form which reduces their solubility in water. These binding processes reduce leaching nitrogen into the subsoil and help prevent volatilization into the atmosphere.

Hydra-Hume is a unique blend of organic components that increases the effectiveness of inorganic fertilizer and adds organic benefits at a reasonable cost. Hydra-Hume improves fertilizer efficiency, replenishes the soil with concentrated plant active portions of soluble humus and increases plant vigor.
