Use Retention® to Get More from Your Irrigation Water

In the soil sample on the right, soil aggregation is increased following an application of Retention.
Getting the most out of available irrigation has always been a challenge. Nonetheless, agricultural irrigation has made great advancements with the wide adoption of drip irrigation systems to
maximize water resources.
But one of the limiting factors growers could not control was soil type. Some soils simply hold water better than others. For example, a sandy loam does not have near the water-holding capacity of a clay loam.
But growers now have a new tool that can help increase the efficiency of applied irrigation
water on all types of soils.
Retention is a 30% active liquid water treatment designed to be injected into irrigation systems for increased irrigation efficiency, as well as other agronomic benefits. Retention is designed to be applied monthly though surface drip, micro-jet sprinklers or impact sprinklers at a rate of 2 quarts/acre. The application of Retention needs to be made with a specialized pump which injects a measured concentration of product that will help achieve the benefits below.
Benefits of Retention
- Holds water in the soil longer for extended crop uptake & utilization
- Improves water infiltration & water use efficiency
- Bio-degrades into natural materials
