Using the Helena TruYield Program to Reach Crop Potential
Throughout the growing season, farmers work hard to ensure that their crop produces to the best of its ability. Time and money are spent creating nutrient plans and selecting different varieties based on the performance of the year prior. At the end of the season, the crop is harvested and the total yield gives the farmer an idea of how his crop performed. Today, most harvesting equipment comes standard with yield monitors. To help growers get the most out of their yield data, Helena offers TruYield®.
TruYield is a yield management system that allows a grower to see their yield mapped by using harvester controller data to create a report that includes the following:
- Certified Yield Map
- Certified Moisture Map
- Yield IMPACT report
- Yield Analysis Report
Using TruYield allows us to pin point where the field produces the highest and lowest yields. In order to get the most out of TruYield, it is best to take multiple years of yield data and overlay it with one another to see trends and how the yield compares from one year to the next.
This yield data can give us a picture of how the crop performed, but in order to dial down on crop health, it is important to see what causes the different yields. By combining TruYield with Helena’s HyGround® program, we can see how soil type, moisture, salts, variety, nutrient availability or other factors are impacting crop yield. By figuring out what is causing the variability in the field, we can help you create a management plan that will allow your yield to reach its full potential.
