With Antares®, you can eliminate weeds with heightened compatibility. Antares is a selective soil-applied sulfentrazone herbicide providing superior pre-emergence control of more than 70 broadleaf weeds, grasses and sedges in a variety of crops. It contains a unique compatibility agent, making it a more compatible tank mix partner for glyphosate and other companion product applications. Its co-formulated adjuvant system improves herbicide performance by enhancing wetting, spreading and coverage, while reducing spray droplet bounce.

Technical Information

Antares is a soil-applied selective herbicide. It will control listed grasses, sedges and broadleaf weeds. Antares is a flowable product that contains 4 pounds of active ingredient (sulfentrazone) per gallon. The active ingredient sulfentrazone inhibits an enzyme required by plants in order to produce chlorophyll. Inhibiting this enzyme leads to the release of singlet oxygen (O) which then disrupts cellular membranes, resulting in cellular leakage and cellular death ultimately resulting in plant death.
