Luke Blankenship received the 2025 Western Business Unit Intern of the Year Scholarship Award presented by Helena Agri-Enterprises, LLC. A native of Fresno, California, Blankenship graduated from California State University in Fresno, and he is currently attending Madera Community College to become a licensed PCA. He received a $1,000 award toward his education for his exceptional performance and personal growth as a Helena intern.
Blankenship completed his internship at the Helena location in Firebaugh, California, during the summer of 2025. His work required interacting with customers and prospects, and assisting with agronomic and precision activities. Blankenship spent the majority of his summer monitoring pistachio, almond and tomato production. His summer project focused on creating a fertilization program for a tomato grower using AGRIntelligence®, an advanced line of data solutions from Helena. Following his internship, Blankenship started a full-time position with Helena as an AGRIntelligence Field Service Technician in Kerman and Firebaugh.
The 2025 Helena Western Business Unit intern class was comprised of six students from universities in several western states. The scholarship award is designed to encourage creativity, innovation and hard work among the intern team and assist with college expenses. Helena’s Western Business Unit consists of Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and portions of North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming.
