2026 EBU Intern of the Year
Clayton Fletcher received the 2026 Eastern Business Unit Intern of the Year Scholarship Award presented by Helena Agri-Enterprises, LLC. A native of Babson Park, Florida, Fletcher is obtaining a degree in Food and Resource Economics with a specialization in Food and Agribusiness Marketing & Management and a minor in Sustainable Crop Production from the University of Florida. Fletcher also holds an Associate of Arts degree from Santa Fe College. He received a $1,000 award toward his education for his outstanding performance, enthusiasm and impact as an Helena intern.
Fletcher completed his internship at the Helena location in Belle Glade, Florida, during the summer of 2026. His work required interacting with customers and prospects, and assisting with agronomic and precision activities. He supported growers by helping address the invasive pasture mealybug issue, assisted with herbicide research trials and stepped up to support branch and warehouse operations during a busy summer. His willingness to learn, take initiative and help wherever needed made a lasting impact on both the team and customers.
The 2026 Eastern Business Unit intern class was comprised of15 students from universities across the East Coast. The scholarship award is designed to encourage creativity, innovation and hard work among the intern team and assist with college expenses. Helena’s Eastern Business Unit consists of Delaware, Massachusetts, Maine, Maryland, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Virginia.
