2026 SBU Intern of the Year
Cobby Ware received the 2026 Southern Business Unit Intern of the Year Scholarship Award presented by Helena Agri-Enterprises, LLC. A native of Madison, Mississippi, Ware is obtaining a degree in Agricultural Engineering/Technology/Business from Mississippi State University where he will graduate in May of 2027. He received a $1,000 award toward his education for his outstanding performance, enthusiasm and impact as an Helena intern.
Ware completed his internship at the Helena location in Mesquite, New Mexico, during the summer of 2026. His work required interacting with customers and prospects, and assisting with agronomic and precision activities. Selection criteria included participation in weekly Picture of the Week (POW) submissions, engagement in Business Challenges, initiative in daily responsibilities, measurable contributions to branch ROI, including increased sales of target HPG products and Extractor samples and positive feedback from mentors and branch personnel.
The 2026 Southern Business Unit intern class was comprised of 11 students from universities across the South. The scholarship award is designed to encourage creativity, innovation and hard work among the intern team and assist with college expenses. Helena’s Southern Business Unit consists of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and portions of Alabama, Kentucky, Missouri and Tennessee.
